Walmart takes the lead in collecting unused opiates

Walmart seems to understand how left over unused prescription opioids are helping to fuel the opioid epidemic that is killing thousands of people every month and leading to the devastating path of addiction.

The big box retailer says it will become the first national drug chain to offer such a free opioid disposal option at all its pharmacy locations.

DisposeRx is being enlisted to let patients dispose of any leftover medications in the trash through a solution which renders those medications inert.

By eliminating the left over medications in US households, family sharing stops and medicine chests and night stands could be emptied of these powerful addiction agents.
